We prohibit content that celebrates or promotes suicide or self-harm , but we do allow people to discuss these topics because we want Unpress to be a space where people can share their experiences, raise awareness about these issues, and seek support from one another.We define self-harm as the intentional and direct injuring of the bodyallow discussions for sharing experiences, raising awareness, and seeking support.

Self-harm, including self-mutilation and eating disorders. We remove any content that encourages suicide or self-harm, including fictional , must not be encouraged through content such as memes or illustrations and any self-harm content which is graphic, regardless of context. We also remove content that identifies and negatively targets victims or survivors of suicide or self-harm seriously, humorously or rhetorically, as well as real time depictions of , illustrations, or graphic depictions. Content negatively targeting victims or survivors, or depicting real-time suicide or self-harm, is also prohibited. Content about recovery of suicide or self-harm that is allowed , but creators should must blur out potentially upsetting imagery that could be upsetting.

When people post For suicide or self-harm-related content, we may add notices to that content that direct them to local organizations that can provide support. If our operations team detects and becomes concerned about immediate harm directing viewers to local support organizations. If we detect immediate harm, we will contact local emergency services.

With respect to For live content, experts advise that if someone is saying they intend to attempt suicide on a livestream, content should be left up for as long as possible, because the longer someone is talking to a camera, the more opportunity there is for a friend or family member to call emergency services.To minimize the risk of others being negatively impacted by viewing this content, we will stop the livestream at the point at which the threat turns into an attempt. As mentioned above, in any case, we will contact emergency services if we identify someone is at immediate risk of harming themselveswe will leave up live streams where users express suicidal intent in order to provide time for intervention. The longer you can keep an at-risk person talking, the more time available for friends and family to call emergency services. However, we will stop the live stream when threats become attempts and contact emergency services if a user is at immediate risk of self-harm.
